ICU Registered Nurse Job in Attleboro, MA

You will work as a Registered Nurse in a 14-bed Intensive Care Unit at Sturdy Health in Attleboro, Massachusetts. This is a 12-week night shift contract position running 3x12 hour shifts, with a weekly pay of $2,306.88.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in the ICU with patient ratios of 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity. You will typically remain within the ICU and will not float to other units. You will care for adult patients with diagnoses including alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and occasional surgical cases such as VATS procedures.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Manage patients requiring mechanical ventilation, pressors, arterial lines, and chest tubes
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias
• Monitor pulmonary artery lines and Swan Ganz catheters
• Administer and monitor continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation
• Serve as part of the code team and rapid response team
• Collaborate with intensivists during day shift and Nurse Practitioners during night shift

Support and Resources

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and pharmacy. Weekend coverage is required.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts nursing license
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Travel healthcare experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• ACLS, BLS, and CCRN certifications required
• CERNER experience preferred but not required
