ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM (days) or 7:30 PM to 8:00 AM (nights)
• Provide emergency health care services to patients of all ages, from minor medical injuries to accidents, trauma, and various ailments
• Assess patients' clinical conditions, recognize and interpret serious situations, prioritize care, and take immediate and appropriate action
• Initiate appropriate emergency measures when a physician is not immediately available
• Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment including infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, cardiac monitors, and other specialized equipment
• Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by a physician, including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Manage adult and pediatric patients, including management of ventilators, CPAP, BIPAP, and Vapotherms
• Manage critical medications and drips, and provide basic care for stroke patients
• Document patient observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures, and coordinated care activities
• Plan, develop, and implement patient care delivery while coordinating documentation across nursing and other professional disciplines
• Assist in maintaining adequate supplies, equipment, and general upkeep of the unit while preserving a safe environment
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required; 5 years preferred
• Must possess and maintain a Board of Nursing approved Oklahoma or Compact/Multi-State RN license
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task effectively
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Must be able to meet physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, climbing stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
