Emergency Room RN Job in Oklahoma City, OK

OU Health is seeking an experienced RN for a full-time role in the Emergency Room in Oklahoma City, OK. This 12-hour shift position runs for 89 days, beginning September 14, 2026, with weekly compensation of $2,429.

About the Role

You will provide direct nursing care to patients presenting with acute and complex health conditions. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess and monitor patients upon arrival and throughout their stay
• Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments
• Review and note all changes to physician orders for assigned patients
• Assist physicians during patient examinations and minor diagnostic procedures
• Obtain and continuously monitor vital signs and physiological data, intervening as necessary
• Administer medications according to prescribed protocols
• Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products
• Deliver consistent, competent patient care
• Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans, hospital procedures, and discharge instructions
• Make appropriate referrals to support services based on patient needs
• Delegate tasks to support staff as needed

Required Qualifications

You must hold a current RN license and bring proven trauma nursing experience. Prior travel healthcare assignment experience is required.
