ED RN Job in Tahlequah, OK

Cherokee Nation W. W. Hastings Hospital is seeking a registered nurse for the Emergency Department. This is an 89-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026, with 12-hour swing shifts from 12:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

About the Role

You will provide emergency health care services to patients of all ages, from minor medical injuries to accidents and trauma. You will assess patients' clinical conditions, recognize and interpret serious situations, prioritize care, and take appropriate action. When the physician is not immediately available, you will initiate emergency measures as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor general and specialized emergency care equipment including infusion pumps, pulse oximeters, ventilators, and cardiac monitors
• Administer therapeutic measures prescribed by the physician, including medications, IV therapy, respiratory therapy, and mechanical ventilation
• Manage adult and pediatric patients on ventilators, CPAP, BIPAP, and Vapotherms
• Manage critical medications and drips as well as provide basic care for stroke patients
• Document observations, nursing interventions, therapeutic measures, and coordinated activities between nursing and other professional disciplines
• Plan and develop care delivery and coordinate documentation of care

Requirements

• Current Oklahoma or Compact/Multi-State RN license
• Minimum 3 years of emergency nursing experience
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC (AHA)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and lift up to 50 lbs

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,161.
