Opportunity:

RN - Acute Care Med Surg

Job Details:

• Full-time position requiring 36 hours per week plus 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks
• Day and night variable shifts
• Extended contracts through holidays required
• Provide high quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions
• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans based on patient response or change in condition
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration and other clinical interventions
• Educate patients and families on self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to support health and healing
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support within a Healing Environment
• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with team members' education, training, and scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement activities and self-evaluation of nursing practice
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg environment required
• Required certifications and licensure: NYS RN Licensure, BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS
