Med Surg RN Job in Ithaca, NY

Cayuga Medical Center is seeking an RN for its Med Surg unit. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning October 18, 2026, working 3x12 night shifts at $2,409 weekly.

In this role, you will provide direct patient and family support and nursing care within the full scope of RN practice. You will work collaboratively as a member of the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate programs and services for patients, families, and the community.

Your responsibilities include:

• Observe, collect data, plan, implement, and evaluate patients' physical, psychological, emotional, educational, and spiritual needs
• Develop and maintain individualized and ongoing plans of care for each patient
• Care primarily for surgical patients including those recovering from joint replacements, hip fractures, open abdominal surgeries, and neck and back surgeries
• Provide care to some medical patients on the unit

Requirements: Charge nurse experience is required for this position. You must be available to work Christmas Eve into Christmas Day. While a block schedule cannot be guaranteed, scheduling will be accommodated when possible.
