Med/Surg RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for our Med/Surg unit. You will work 3x12 rotating day and night shifts, providing direct care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions. This is a 101-week contract position beginning November 18, 2026.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess patient and family needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting care plans based on patient response or changes in condition
• Provide direct patient care including medication administration and clinical interventions
• Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes to support health and healing
• Promote comfort and emotional support within a Healing Environment
• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with team members' education, training, and scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement activities and self-evaluation of nursing practice
• Complete 2 on-call shifts every 4 weeks as required

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Med/Surg environment
• NYS RN Licensure
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS certification

Compensation and Schedule:

You will earn $2,208 per week working full-time (36 hours per week). Extended contracts through the holiday period are required. Day and night variable shifts provide flexibility and diverse patient care experiences.
