Med Surg RN Job in Geneva, NY

Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Medical-Surgical unit. This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week on a 3x12 rotating schedule, including day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts. You will also be on-call for two shifts every four weeks.

Your Role

You will provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions. Your responsibilities include:

• Assess patient and family needs, develop individualized plans of care, and evaluate progress in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Coordinate care delivery throughout the patient's episode and adjust care plans based on patient response or condition changes
• Administer medications and apply clinical interventions as needed
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding of self-care beyond hospitalization, including lifestyle changes to promote health and healing
• Promote comfort and provide emotional support within a Healing Environment
• Advocate for patient health, safety, and rights while encouraging teamwork and mutual respect among care team members
• Delegate tasks and interventions consistent with individual education, training, and scope of practice
• Participate in quality improvement activities and engage in self-evaluation to identify areas for professional development

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse
• Current New York State RN licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS (AHA or RQI only)
• NIHSS certification

This position involves occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens, blood, body fluids, and tissues.

Assignment Details

This 94-week travel assignment begins November 18, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,208. You will work at Finger Lakes Health Geneva General Hospital, located at 196 North St, Geneva, NY.
