Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• Patient ratio of 1:6 for all shifts including nights and weekends
• Every other weekend is required and non-negotiable
• No on-call requirements
• Float within scope to meet facility needs as required
• Work on a new unit currently operating with 10 beds, staffed with 2 RNs and 1 tech per shift
• 24/7 house supervisor coverage available; leadership accessible by phone during off-shift hours
• Charge responsibilities split between stepdown and 3 west
• Work with bedside monitors capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry monitoring
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, ESRD, chronic respiratory illnesses, and arrhythmias
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and more
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to assignment but is not guaranteed
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Experience required in telemetry, telemetry on-unit monitoring, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
• Royal Blue scrubs required
