CVOR Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a CVOR Technologist for a 126-day travel assignment beginning September 21, 2026. This position offers a 3x12 day shift schedule at $2,072 weekly pay.

Role Overview

You will provide surgical support in the Cardiovascular/Thoracic Operating Room, assisting with complex cardiothoracic cases, vascular procedures, and robotic thoracic surgeries. You will maintain a 1:1 patient ratio and float within the facility and to the Main OR as needed, based on departmental scope of practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage surgical instruments, scopes, and fiber optic equipment
• Assist with procedures including CABG, TAVR, valve replacements, lung resections, endovascular repairs, and VAD cases
• Maintain aseptic technique and sterilization/disinfection protocols
• Support laparoscopic and robotic-assisted cardiac procedures
• Manage airway support and trauma cases as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• Demonstrated competency in cardiothoracic, vascular, and thoracic procedures
• Experience with instrument processing, scope reprocessing, and flexible endoscope handling
• Community hospital and Trauma Level I or II background preferred

Schedule and Time Off

Call requirements include one day per week and one weekend every four weeks, subject to change based on departmental needs. You may take up to 7 days of pre-approved time off during your assignment. If one or two major holidays fall within your contract, you are expected to work all of them; if three or more major holidays occur, you are expected to work two.
