CVOR Technologist Job in Atlanta, GA

You will work as a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Technologist at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. This is a 126-day travel assignment with a start date of September 21, 2026, offering a weekly pay of $2,072 on a 3x12 day shift schedule (Friday through Sunday).

Role and Responsibilities

You will support cardiothoracic and vascular surgical procedures, serving in a 1:1 patient ratio across days, nights, and weekends. Your scope includes floating within the facility and to the Main OR as needed. You will work with patients across all age groups—adolescents, adults, and geriatrics—in a community hospital setting that includes Trauma Level I and Level II designations.

Required Experience and Certifications

A minimum of 2 years of surgical tech experience is required; first-time travelers are accepted. You must hold current ACLS and BLS certifications. Preferred experience includes cardiovascular/thoracic surgery, transplant cases, and robotic thoracic procedures.

Core Clinical Skills

• Cardiothoracic procedures: CABG, mitral valve replacement, TAVR, VAD, pericardial window, laparoscopic cardiac surgery
• Vascular surgery: abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, aortic aneurysm repair, carotid endarterectomy, femoral popliteal bypass, endovascular repair (EVAR, TEVAR)
• Thoracic procedures: lung resection, thoracotomy, VATS, bronchoscopy
• Endoscopy: colonoscopy, flexible endoscope reprocessing, care of fiber optic equipment
• Operating room standards: aseptic technique, instrument processing, sterilization/disinfection, case cart management, crash cart
• Additional competencies: airway management, trauma procedures, robotic surgery support

Assignment Terms

On-call requirements will be discussed during your interview. You are permitted a maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off for the contract duration. Holiday expectations: if one or two major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day) fall within your assignment, you are expected to work them. If three major holidays fall within the period, you will work two of them.
