Job Details:

• Alternating days and evenings shift schedule
• Weekend rotation with on-call responsibilities
• 3-5 years of experience as an anesthesia tech required with consistent experience at a level 1 center preferred
• Graduate of an approved accreditation program or Anesthesia Technology required
• National ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technologist required
• CPR/BLS certification required before entering work site
• Proficiency in acute cardiac cases preferred
• Experience with central lines, arterial lines, and Swan-Ganz catheters preferred
• Experience working in a Level 1 trauma center preferred
• Must be knowledgeable about reprocessing methods, aseptic and sterile techniques and their application in setting up and assisting with sterile trays
• Responsible for working all locations where general anesthesia is provided
• Perform room turns and prepare rooms for cases including invasive procedures
• Troubleshoot different makes and models of anesthesia machines
• Assist with invasive procedures including arterial lines, central venous catheter placement, and thermodilution catheter placement
• Maintain knowledge of infection control practices as they relate to anesthesiology equipment and supplies
• Order supplies and restock rooms and carts as directed
