RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Minimum weekend schedule requirements include 3 scheduled days regardless of shift, 1 Friday, and 1 Monday
• Work into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule
• No call or standby requirement
• Patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 in a 28-bed CVICU unit
• Care for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients as well as ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplant patients
• Must have prior CVICU experience with these patient types
• Titrate all critical care drips including inotropes and sedation
• Must be able to recognize ECG changes and notify providers accordingly
• Work alongside intensivists and Advanced Practice Providers available 24/7
• Respiratory therapy in ICU available 24/7 with ventilator, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment
• CRRT experience required
• May be floated to any ICU or stepdown unit in the hospital
• One week of unit-specific orientation provided
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Charting system: EPIC
• BSN not required
• Dress code: Royal Blue scrubs
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
