RN - CVICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Weekend requirement includes a minimum of 3 scheduled days regardless of shift, 1 Friday, and 1 Monday
• May be floated to any ICU or stepdown unit in the hospital
• Work into the permanent staff holiday rotation schedule
• No call or standby requirement
• Cancellation policy allows 2 shifts per 13-week contract
• Unit orientation is 1 week
• Charting system is EPIC
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:1 in a 28-bed CVICU
• Care for cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgery patients, as well as ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplant patients
• Must have prior CVICU experience with these patient populations
• Required to titrate all critical care drips including inotropes and sedation
• Must be able to recognize ECG changes and notify providers accordingly
• CRRT experience required
• Work alongside intensivists and advanced practice providers available 24/7, respiratory therapy in ICU 24/7, and 1-3 CNAs on the unit
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS; CCRN preferred
• BSN not required
• Active RN license required
