Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour shifts on days (7:00 AM - 7:00 PM) or nights (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Every-other-weekend requirement with Saturday and Sunday shifts for both days and nights
• Holiday rotation schedule shared with permanent staff
• Float pool assignment covering multiple units including 6N (36 beds), 7N (29 beds), 4N (36 beds), 5S (36 beds), 6S (36 beds), and Critical Care (20 beds)
• Report to clinical coordinator's office prior to shift start time for unit assignment
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5-6 on most units for both days and nights, with occasional 1:7 toward end of shift depending on patient acuity
• Commonly care for patients with CHF, cardiac cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology conditions
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips using Phillips monitors; most units have monitor techs available
• Will not be required to titrate drips
• CPAP and BiPap present on units; managed by respiratory therapy
• CNAs available on all units
• Charge nurse available on every unit; day charge does not take patients, night charge does take patients
• Must take and pass a cardiac rhythm exam prior to assignment
• Charting system: EPIC
• Royal blue scrubs required
• 1-2 shifts of orientation with a preceptor provided
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS
• Must provide a copy of unexpired driver's license with submission
• 50-mile radius rule applies
