Opportunity:

RN - Tele Float Pool

Job Details:

• Work 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week with every other weekend requirement
• Float between multiple units of varying acuity levels including CCU, IMC, Medical/Surgical floors, Skilled Care, and potentially ED
• Patient ratios vary by unit: CCU 1:2-3, IMC 1:4-6, MS Level 7 1:5-6, MS Level 8 1:5-8, Skilled Care 1:8-10
• Must have 5 years of nursing experience required
• Prefer 1 year of ICU experience or 1 year of ED experience
• Must be comfortable with patient ratios ranging from 1:2 to 1:10
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS (if working in CCU or ED)
• Must be flexible, adaptable, with multi-functional expertise and strong problem-solving skills
• Expected to titrate critical drips including Heparin when working in ED or CCU
• Must be able to troubleshoot respiratory equipment and read/interpret telemetry strips
• Self-scheduling with 4-week schedules, but must be flexible to fill staffing gaps
• Receive unit assignment via text message within 2 hours prior to shift start
• Navy blue scrubs required
• One day orientation and one day with preceptor for initial unit only
• Chart using Cerner system
• May be placed in holiday rotation
• No call or standby requirements
• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license and live within 50-mile radius
• Care for patients with diagnoses including NSTEMI, pneumonia, sepsis, diabetes, heart disease, and diverticulitis
