Med/Surg RN Job in Des Moines, IA

You will work as a registered nurse on the Medical-Surgical unit at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. This is a 90-day travel assignment beginning August 9, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

You will provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg floor, managing a patient caseload and collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team. Your nursing duties will include medication administration, patient assessment, care planning, and patient education.

Schedule and Expectations

• 3 x 12-hour day shifts per week
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Every other holiday (EOH) schedule required

• Weekly Pay: $2,204

Requirements

You must hold a current RN license in Iowa. ADEX Healthcare Staffing handles all credentialing and placement logistics. You are responsible for maintaining your own malpractice insurance and verifying state licensure requirements before your start date.
