ED Registered Nurse Job in Greensboro, NC

Cone Health – The Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026.

Schedule & Compensation

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
• Two weekend shifts or four weekend days per six-week cycle
• Holidays as needed; no on-call responsibilities
• Weekly pay: $2,190

Requirements

• Minimum two years of emergency department experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications
• NIHSS certification required
• EPIC charting system experience
• Ability to pass compliance EKG exam (two attempts allowed)
• First-time travelers welcome

Preferred Qualifications

• CPI, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Previous Charge RN experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience

Clinical Skills & Experience

You will manage a patient ratio of four to five patients and demonstrate competency in arterial line management, BiPAP and CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA management, combined adult and pediatric emergency care, gunshot wounds, head injury, arterial blood gas interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions and PPE, IV vasopressors, phlebotomy, procedural sedation, IV insertion and maintenance, and triage.

Support & Resources

• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for BiPAP and arterial blood gas support
• Interdisciplinary teams including IV services, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
• Potential float to other Cone Health campuses as needed
