Interventional Radiology RN Job in Cape Girardeau, MO

Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a travel RN for our Interventional Radiology department. This is a 91-day assignment starting November 16, 2026, with day shifts on a 5x8 schedule and 40 guaranteed weekly hours.

About the Role

You will provide direct patient care in our IR suite, Ultrasound, CT, MRI, and Diagnostic imaging settings. Your responsibilities include monitoring patient vital signs and intravenous lines, administering medications under physician direction, and maintaining IV skills. You will operate Nihonkohden patient monitors, document patient records accurately in our CERNER EMR system (transitioning to EPIC), and assist with various imaging department procedures. Patient ratio is 1:1 in imaging, allowing focused care delivery.

You will also manage and maintain emergency equipment and crash cart drug inventory, serve as a liaison between the Imaging department and other patient care divisions, and interact professionally with patients across all age groups and diverse socioeconomic backgrounds.

Scheduling and Expectations

• Day shift, 5x8 schedule with 40 guaranteed weekly hours
• Weekend hours required as needed
• On-call responsibilities on a rotating basis
• Float capability required as needed across departments

Requirements

• RN degree
• Minimum 1+ years of experience
• Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications required
• ARNA certification preferred

What to Know

Surgical scrubs are provided for procedure areas; street clothes are not acceptable attire. You will work in a fast-paced imaging environment supporting both invasive and non-invasive procedures.
