ICU Registered Nurse Job in Stockbridge, GA

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for their 24-room Intensive Care Unit. This is a 98-week travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, with 3x12 day shifts and weekly pay of $1,792.

Role Overview

You will provide direct care to adult and geriatric patient populations in a dynamic ICU environment with an average daily census of 19 patients. Your typical patient ratio is 1:2–3, with the understanding that you may occasionally assume a third patient. Floating within the facility and scope of practice is required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage care of ventilated patients, including ETT and nasotracheal suctioning
• Perform central line care and management
• Recognize and manage dysrhythmias
• Support acute stroke and CVA management, including NIHSS assessment
• Administer high-flow nasal cannula therapy and monitor CVVHD/CRRT patients
• Utilize specialty equipment including cardiac monitoring, BIS, train of four, Arctic Sun, FloTrac, and IABP

Common Diagnoses

You will encounter ARDS, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, DKA, post-op complications, cardiogenic shock, GIB, COPD exacerbation, encephalopathy, liver failure, drug overdose, and ESRD on CRRT.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience; first-time travelers are accepted
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Valid Georgia or Compact nursing license
• Every other weekend required
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract
• Holiday expectations: work all major holidays if 1–2 fall during assignment; work 2 of 3 or more major holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Year's Eve/New Year's Day)

Support & Resources

You will have access to interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. The unit uses Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR documentation. Navy blue scrubs are required.
