Job Details:

• Work 3x12 shift schedule
• Assist during surgical procedures by ensuring and maintaining the integrity of a sterile surgical field
• Provide instrumentation as needed to the surgical team
• Possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique
• Apply knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies in performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
• Maintain working knowledge of AORN standards
• Monitor and maintain sterile field, checking all items for proper packaging, processing, moisture, seal and packaging integrity, sterile indicators, and expiration dates
• Working towards competency or competent with Tier 1 surgical cases
• Participate in Time Out Process including Briefings and Debriefings
• Assist team with patient transports, room turnovers, and room preparation
• Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization
• Must be able to care for patients across all age groups including neonatal through geriatric
• Completion of a Certified Surgical Technologist program and/or Licensed Surgical Technologist required
• Licensed as a Surgical Technologist in the state of Colorado required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by American Heart Association required
• Must possess necessary computer skills to complete online learning requirements, access online forms and policies, and complete online benefits enrollment
• Must have working knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English
