PCU RN Job in Thornton, CO

HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge CO is seeking an experienced RN for a 91-day travel assignment in their Progressive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on the 2 North floor of the main building.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a 24-bed PCU with a 5:1 patient ratio
• Monitor patients on telemetry and post-operative monitoring equipment
• Manage post-operative recovery for surgical and cath lab patients
• Care for post-op orthopedic patients including spine and joint procedures
• Support patients across diverse populations: elective orthopedic, spine, GYN surgeries, elective cath lab procedures, stroke, CIWA, chest pain, renal failure, and respiratory failure
• Administer set-rate cardiac drips (non-titrating except heparin)
• Collaborate with charge nurse, 4–5 RNs, and 2–3 PCTs during day shift

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PCU experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications
• Cardiac experience preferred
• Prior Meditech experience preferred
