PCU RN Job in Denver, CO

HCA HealthONE Swedish CO is hiring a registered nurse for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You'll work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, three days per week, in a 20-bed Multi Trauma Unit.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a 1:4 patient ratio (charge nurse is patient-free)
• Manage highly acute trauma patients requiring mechanical ventilation, chest tubes, and tracheostomy care
• Operate and monitor ventilators, feeding pumps, IV pumps, wound vacs, specialty beds, suction systems, and chest tube drainage
• Perform or assist with procedures including chest tube placement and bedside bronchoscopy
• Work collaboratively with a night shift team of 1 charge nurse, 5 nurses, and 2 techs
• Use the Meditech/CPN electronic medical record system

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of acute care hospital PCU experience
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated ability to manage chest tubes, trauma patients, trachs, and suction
• NIH certification and prior Meditech experience preferred
• Team-oriented approach to high-acuity nursing

Compensation and Duration

This 91-day travel assignment begins June 29, 2026, with weekly pay of $2,435.
