PCU RN Job in Greeley, CO

Banner North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position. You will work 3 shifts of 12 hours on nights, with an 89-day contract beginning October 19, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,582.10.

You will provide direct patient care in the PCU while supporting Medical/Surgical units across the Banner North Colorado system as needed. Your clinical focus will include cardiac, medical, orthopedic, and neurological patients. You must be proficient in telemetry strip monitoring and capable of floating between units to meet staffing demands.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments—physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural—and identifying discharge planning needs
• Formulating and implementing individualized care plans based on patient-specific needs and physician orders
• Reviewing diagnostics and laboratory results, reporting abnormal findings to physicians and care team members
• Delegating and supervising licensed and non-licensed healthcare team members
• Monitoring patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as indicated
• Documenting assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record
• Participating in shared leadership initiatives and supporting orientation and education of facility personnel

Scheduling: Every other weekend and holidays per unit rotation. You may float to support PCU and Medical/Surgical units at Banner North Colorado Medical Center (Greeley), Loveland, or Brush Flagler Community Hospital as needed.

Requirements: Minimum one year of acute care hospital experience required, with specialty experience in PCU or Medical/Surgical within the past 12 months. Current, valid RN license in Colorado. Colorado CAPS required. Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Professional certification preferred.
