Occupational Therapist in San Antonio, TX

Methodist Hospital is seeking an Occupational Therapist for a 13-week contract position in their inpatient rehabilitation unit. You will work day shifts in a 32-bed rehab facility on the 3rd floor of the South building, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of 8 OTs, 8 PTs, nurses, rehabilitation aides, and patient care technicians.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 5–6 hours of direct patient treatment during each 8-hour shift
• Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and ADL assessments
• Deliver evidence-based inpatient rehabilitation treatments
• Document patient care in the Meditech EMR system
• Operate specialized rehabilitation equipment including H200/L300 and BURT systems
• Work flexibly as part of the rehabilitation team, including potential float assignments to other Methodist inpatient rehab facilities

Position Details

• Schedule: 5 days per week, 8-hour days
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 13, 2026
• Weekly Pay: $2,005
• Minimum 2 weekend shifts per 4-week period required

Requirements

• Current BLS certification
• Basic knowledge of inpatient rehabilitation practices
• Previous experience in an inpatient rehab setting preferred
• Ability to demonstrate initiative and clinical knowledge
• Willingness to flex and adapt to team needs
