Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Columbia, SC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning October 12, 2026, with a weekly pay rate of $2,728.

Schedule and Staffing

• Work 4x10 shifts, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with hours extending as procedures complete
• 1:1 patient ratio
• On-call: one weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) per month and one call shift per weekday each week; call requirements may adjust based on staffing needs
• Weekend coverage required per call schedule
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours can be broken down to total 1 shift
• No floating between service lines or sister facilities

Clinical Role and Patient Population

You will treat adult and geriatric patients across approximately 20 daily cases in 5 rooms. You will perform peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures, including cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, interventional catheterizations, and electrophysiology (EP) procedures.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of EP/Cath Lab experience
• Cardiac Stent Placement
• Circulating Procedures
• Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab
• Impella Insertion
• Interpretation and Management of Dysrhythmias
• Monitoring and Administration of Procedural Sedation
• Experience with special equipment: Impella, Balloon Pump, Angiojet, and Shock Wave

Credentials and Requirements

• Current South Carolina RN license or Compact license required before start
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Radiation badge required; provided by agency

Facility and Systems

You will use Epic for charting. Hospital-issued scrubs are provided. Interdisciplinary support is available through Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, and Pharmacy.
