Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Columbia, SC

MUSC Health Columbia Medical Center Downtown is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab. You'll work 4x10-hour day shifts with rotating times between 7:00 AM–5:30 PM and 9:30 AM–8:00 PM. Shifts are organized by week to provide consistency, and procedures may extend until completion.

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing a 1:1 patient ratio during peripheral and coronary diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Performing cardiac stent placement, circulating, diagnostic catheterization, and left and right heart catheterization
• Administering and monitoring procedural sedation
• Interpreting and managing dysrhythmias
• Working with specialized equipment including Impella, balloon pump, Angiojet, and Shock Wave systems
• Collaborating with respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

The facility manages approximately 20 cases daily across 5 rooms, serving adult and geriatric patients. You'll participate in on-call rotation: one weekend per month (Friday–Sunday) and one weekday call shift per week. Weekend coverage is required per rotation. You will not float between service lines or sister facilities.

Requirements:

• Current SC license or Compact license required before start date
• Minimum 2 years of experience with EP/Cath Lab experience specifically required
• Community hospital experience required
• BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to wear radiation badge (provided by agency)
