ICU - Intensive Care Unit

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts, 3 days per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required, with potential for more weekend shifts if preferred
• No on-call required
• Float between ICU and Telemetry units
• Patient ratios: 2-3 patients in ICU and 1:4-5 in Telemetry for all shifts
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, preferably in a Level 1 Center for first-time travelers
• Missouri or Compact nursing license required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Meditech EMR experience strongly preferred
• Required skills include: Impella experience, balloon pump experience, stroke care, STEMI care, arterial line management, ventilator management, BiPAP/CPAP management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, pneumonia, COPD, CHF, sepsis, AKI, DKA, TIA/stroke, arrhythmias, and electrolyte imbalances
• Unit scrub color: Navy Blue
