Physical Therapist Job in Santa Fe, NM

CHRISTUS St Vincent Regional Medical Center is hiring a Physical Therapist for a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 14, 2026. You will work 5 days per week on day shifts from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with no on-call requirements.

Compensation and Schedule

• Weekly pay: $2,760
• 5x8 day shift schedule (Friday through Tuesday)
• 91-day assignment length
• A uniform top is issued as part of the dress code

Role Responsibilities

You will float between Inpatient Rehab and Acute care units, performing comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine physical and cognitive abilities of inpatients and outpatients. You will develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families. Your responsibilities include assessment, treatment plan development and implementation, follow-up, and discharge planning. You will maintain thorough documentation including initial patient evaluations, daily and weekly progress notes, and discharge summaries.

You will participate in patient care conferences, family conferences, in-service programs, and departmental meetings. You will counsel patients, families, and other involved individuals regarding patient evaluation, care, and treatment. You will also supervise Licensed Physical Therapy Assistants, Rehab Technicians, and Volunteers, and assist with coordination and supervision of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs. You will actively assist with clinical aspects of the department including orientation of new associates and patient scheduling, and participate in Performance Improvement activities while maintaining departmental productivity standards.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico Physical Therapist licensure
• Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited college or university
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Proficiency with all modalities and equipment used by a Physical Therapist
