ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - CCU

Job Details:

• Float pool position requiring flexibility to float throughout the hospital including the Emergency Department, ER hold, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, and Stepdown/PCU
• Patient ratios up to 1:6 in Medical-Surgical
• Every other weekend schedule required
• No on-call responsibilities
• No block schedule requests available due to pool staffing - candidate must be flexible
• Minimum 2 years of experience required - first time travelers accepted
• Maximum 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• If one or two major holidays fall during assignment period, traveler is expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall during assignment period, traveler is expected to work two
• Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• ICU experience required
• GA or Compact nursing license required
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, isolation precautions/PPE, management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), titrating cardiac drips, and titrating vasoactive drips
