ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Will also work PCU/stepdown as needed
• Patient ratio of 2:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• 7-bed ICU unit serving adult patient population
• 1 year of experience required
• Previous charge experience required
• Travel experience required; first time travelers accepted
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Preferred certification: CPI
• Valid state or compact nursing license required
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patient, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, CVA/acute stroke management, emergency medications, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs), interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, PICC line management, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, and additional critical care procedures
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretary
