PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Call requirements include a minimum of 1 day per week and every 3rd weekend; additional call may be required based on staffing
• Weekends are included in call requirements
• Floating within facility/scope of practice and to Piedmont Macon Medical Center as needed
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within assignment period
• Maximum of 7 days of pre-approved time off per contract
• All requested time off must be finalized at time of submission; no schedule changes can be requested post-offer or on-site
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Charting system experience required; any system accepted
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Required skills include: Phase I PACU, arterial line management, dysrhythmia recognition/management, blood product administration, central line care/management, IV vasopressors, narcotics/opioid analgesics, reversal agents, external ventricular drain (EVD), ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients, conscious sedation, post-epidural management, malignant hyperthermia protocol, pain assessment and management, PCA pump management, RASS (Richmond Agitation Sedation Scale)
• Surgical specialties include: bariatrics, ENT, general, GYN, neuro, ophthalmology, ortho, and vascular
• Anesthesia types include: general, local, monitored anesthesia care (MAC), nerve blocks, and spinal
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
