PCU RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital South is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment in Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on the night shift. You will care for patients with neurological disorders, strokes, and trauma in a structured stepdown environment.

Shift & Schedule

• 3x12 night shifts: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 36–48 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements

Role Details

• Patient ratio of 1:3–4 on a 10-bed unit
• Care for patients with neurological conditions, strokes, and trauma
• Work with hard-wired patients, chest tubes, and subdural drains
• Float within service line possible, including Cardiac Stepdown, Surgical Stepdown, and Medical Stepdown
• EMR system: EPIC

Requirements

• Current RN license eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient stepdown experience
• Neuro and trauma experience preferred
• BLS and ACLS from AHA only
• Wear black scrubs

Assignment Details

• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: August 3, 2026
• Night shift orientation takes place on day shift; you must be available the entire week for orientation

Weekly pay: $2,102.40
