Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Minimum 1 year of experience required; first time travelers accepted
• Self-scheduling format
• Work every other weekend
• No on-call requirements
• Float within facility and scope of practice as needed
• Patient ratios of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
• Daily census of 10 patients with 10 beds and 10 rooms on unit
• Orientation is 12 hours
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO or schedule requests can be made post offer or onsite
• No RTO can be requested during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
• If one or two holidays fall during assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested; if three holidays fall during assignment, one holiday RTO may be considered
• Expected to work major holidays that fall within assignment period
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• GA or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
• Required skills include: Isolation Precautions/PPE, Med/Surg, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oral suctioning, Oxygen administration, Oxygen tanks, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Surgical drains, Use of Rapid Response/Code teams, and Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
