PCU Registered Nurse Job in Pikeville, KY

Pikeville Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts with a guaranteed 48 hours per week over an 8-week contract beginning September 21, 2026. Weekly pay is $2,592.

Role Responsibilities:

• Float throughout Cardiac Progressive Care and Telemetry inpatient areas
• Manage a patient ratio of 1:5
• Care for post-catheterization patients (femoral and radial access)
• Provide care for chest pain and MI patients
• Initiate and titrate cardiac drips based on patient acuity
• Perform tele strip interpretation
• May assist as an aide when needed

Requirements:

• Kentucky or Compact RN License
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Level I or II Trauma experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Demonstrated ability in tele strip interpretation
• Associate Degree or Certificate minimum; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Schedule Details:

• Every other weekend and holiday requirements apply
• No blocked schedule requests accepted
• Must be willing to work within a 75-mile radius

Additional Information:

You will be required to complete an EKG test during the compliance process. Black scrubs are required. This role demands a hard worker who is resilient and manages change well in a dynamic healthcare setting.
