ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Emergency Department assignment with 24 beds
• Patient ratio of 4:1 with 5:1 during surge periods
• Night shift team includes 4 RNs, 1 EMT, and 1 charge nurse
• Use GE monitors and document in Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Perform port access, IV starts, venipuncture, and nasal wash procedures
• Conduct point of care testing including troponin, lactic acid, and urine dip
• Perform EKG and Foley catheter placement
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC or CPI Blue Card
• PALS will be accepted in lieu of ENPC
• Preferred certifications: CEN, CPEN, and US IV competency
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred for pediatric ED cases
• Must be caring, compassionate, friendly, and an effective communicator
