ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• Work in a 10-bed emergency department with 2 RNs on at all times
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes
• Utilize prioritization and critical thinking skills with decisive judgment in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
• Comply with triage, treatment, evaluation, and documentation guidelines
• Collaborate with the healthcare team using evidence-based practices to coordinate patient care including transfer, discharge, and referral
• Identify barriers to effective communication based on psychosocial, literacy, financial, and cultural considerations
• Evaluate and provide patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance
• Effectively delegate patient care to ancillary personnel; may precept student nurses and new hires
• Adhere to professional dress code and attire in accordance with organizational policies
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC, TNCC, STABLE, and NRP
• Current and active Colorado RN license or Compact license required
• One year of Emergency Department or Critical Care nursing experience preferred
• Two years of hospital nursing experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred
