ED RN Job in Longmont, CO

Longmont United Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026, paying $2,125.44 weekly.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work 3x12-hour night shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement applies
• Float throughout Zone 3, covering a 60-mile radius across multiple hospital locations
• Manage patient assignments with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio based on acuity
• Read and interpret telemetry independently; no monitor tech on unit
• Perform Point of Care lab testing
• Chart using EPIC

Facility Details

Longmont United Hospital is a Level 3 Trauma facility treating approximately 40 patients per day. Common diagnoses include abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension. The ER holds are intermixed within the department. The charge nurse carries an assignment, and techs support unit secretary work, assist nurses on the floor, and help in triage. Respiratory therapy is available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs.

Requirements and Conditions

• Current RN license
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
• Valid driver's license required
• BSN not required
• Must obtain housing within the 60-mile zone to accommodate floating requirements
• Must be present in state during the week of orientation, even if first-day modules are completed remotely
• Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
