Pediatric Congenital CICU RN Job in Denver, CO

You will work as an RN in a 10-bed Pediatric Congenital Cardiac ICU at HCA HealthONE Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver, Colorado. This is a 91-day travel assignment with 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including a weekend requirement of 4 shifts per 4-week schedule. Weekly pay is $1,930.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 in this critical care setting
• Work collaboratively with a Charge RN and a team of 6 RNs supporting the unit
• Care for congenital cardiac patients, including medical neonates and post-operative cardiac cases
• Manage post-operative care including inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, IVF administration, and chest tube management
• Provide care for post-sternotomy and open chest patients
• Administer moderate sedation as needed
• Support patients requiring peritoneal dialysis and CRRT when applicable
• Assist with ECMO bedside care
• Collaborate with board-certified pediatric and congenital heart intensivists and interdisciplinary team members

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cardiac critical care experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Peritoneal dialysis and CRRT skills
• ECMO bedside experience

Equipment and Systems

You will work with Philips monitors, Med Fusion and Baxter pumps, Centrimag, Prismax, and Arctic Sun equipment. The facility uses Meditech as the EMR system.
