Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position working 18:45 to 07:15
• 36 or 48 hours per week available
• Every other weekend requirement
• Self-scheduling based on unit needs and nurse manager input
• Block scheduling requests reviewed by unit manager on a case-by-case basis
• 13-week contract length or longer accepted
• Occasional float requirement
• Target patient ratio of 1:6
• 36 hours of unit orientation provided
• Scrubs not provided - navy blue or white required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS; ACLS preferred
• Required skills: IV starts and telemetry interpretation
• Charting system experience required; Epic used on unit
• Pyxis and SBAR also utilized on unit
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with surgical diagnoses including colorectal, general surgery, hepatobiliary, orthopedics, urology, and vascular
• Unit supports 39 beds with a daily census of 35
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
