ICU Registered Nurse Job in Ontario, OH

Avita Ontario Hospital is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. You will work 3x12-hour day shifts on a 105-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026, earning $2,430 weekly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent and consecutive ICU experience in a hospital or acute care setting
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
• Valid state nursing license (pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Willingness to float to other campuses (Bucyrus and Galion) if census drops
• Every other weekend (EOW) commitment required
• On-call availability with 1-hour return-to-facility requirement if called in
• Responsibility to make up all missed shifts and find coverage if scheduled during approved time off
• No time off approved for major holidays

Clinical Skills and Knowledge:

• Management of dysrhythmias, arterial lines, and central line care
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• BiPAP/CPAP management and care of ventilated patients
• Endotracheal and nasotracheal suctioning
• Isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Medication scanning knowledge
• Charting system experience required
• Epic experience preferred

Typical staffing ratio is 3:1. You will be required to complete up to 8 hours of non-billable onboarding modules via HealthStream prior to your start date.
