Telemetry RN Job in Des Moines, IA

MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is seeking an RN for a 182-day Telemetry contract beginning November 2, 2026. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, on an every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday schedule.

Your Role:

You will provide direct patient care on Telemetry units and Med-Surg floors, monitoring cardiac rhythms and managing patient acuity across multiple clinical settings. You must be willing to float to the following units as needed:

• Med-Surg Telemetry
• Telemetry
• Orthopedics
• Med-Surg
• Neurology Step Down
• Oncology
• Surgical Telemetry

You may also be assigned to MercyOne's West Lakes Campus, located 9.5 miles from the downtown Des Moines location.

Compensation and Schedule:

This position offers $2,259 per week. The contract runs for 182 days. You will have your 24-hour orientation notice waived, allowing for a quicker start to your assignment.

You are an RN with the flexibility to work across multiple clinical areas and the clinical judgment to manage telemetry monitoring and Med-Surg patient populations. You are adaptable, reliable, and comfortable with floating to different units and campus locations.
