Job Details:

• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• Travel experience required
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Patient ratio of 1:2 with 5 rooms and an average daily census of 4
• Patient diagnoses include hypertensive emergency, cardiogenic shock/heart failure, complex arrhythmias, unstable angina, GI bleed, esophageal perforation, drug overdose, mechanical ventilator support (invasive and non-invasive), pulmonary emboli with hemodynamic instability, respiratory failure/deterioration, uncontrolled seizures, DKA, hypo/hypernatremia, post-op patients requiring hemodynamic monitoring/ventilator support, septic shock with hemodynamic instability, and delirium tremens with complications
• Required skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, infection prevention, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, and titration of cardiac drips
• Unit systems used: Epic, Pyxis, SBAR
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period)
• Floating required within facility and to sister campus
• No on-call requirements
• Holiday coverage required based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off per contract; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Georgia or Compact nursing license required
