ED - Emergency Room

Opportunity:

RN - ED

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• Emergency Department unit with 24 beds
• Patient ratios of 4:1 with 5:1 during surge periods
• Day shift staffing includes 4 RNs, 1 Charge Nurse, 2 mid-shift RNs, 1 mid-shift Unit Clerk, and 1 EMT
• Work with GE monitors and document using Meditech/CPN EMR system
• Perform procedures including port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal wash, point of care testing (troponin, lactic acid, urine dip), EKG, and Foley placement
• Minimum 1 year of current hospital ED experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, and ENPC (PALS accepted in lieu of ENPC)
• CPI Blue Card required
• Preferred certifications: CEN, CPEN, US IV competency
• Pediatric Emergency Department experience preferred for pediatric ED cases
