Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Work every other weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Billable overtime between 36-40 hours per week
• Patient ratios: Days/Evenings 1:4-5, Nights 1:6
• Float between Med Surg and Stepdown units
• Care for all types of patients involved with med surg and stepdowns
• Required to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
• Scrub colors: Black or Navy
• Minimum 36 months of progressive care, stepdown, or med surg/medical surgical experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Stepdown experience preferred
• Critical care experience is a nice to have
• Experience administering nitro, heparin, and amiodarone including titrates required
• Neurology care experience preferred
• Oncology care experience preferred
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
• Skills checklist specific to progressive care, stepdown, or med surg/medical surgical required
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within 24 months preferred
• Driver's license required
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA or ARC)
