Med Surg RN Job in Cleveland, OH

You will work as an RN on a 24-bed all-private-room general medicine unit at Cleveland Medical Center, focusing on a geriatric patient population as part of a nationally recognized Age Friendly unit. This is a night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) on a Monday through Friday schedule with rotating weekends and holidays.

Your Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care including taking patient assignments and completing admissions and discharges according to physician orders
• Follow the 5 rights of medication administration
• Provide wound care per physician orders
• Work on a 3-lead (Masimo) telemetry unit and complete required telemetry competency during orientation
• Perform continuous vital sign monitoring (CVSM) including continuous pulse ox, continuous heart rate, and continuous respiratory rate
• Document accurately according to hospital policy
• Apply critical thinking skills in a fast-paced medical environment
• Participate in Age Friendly rounds every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM for patients 65 years and older
• Address all aspects of geriatric patient care including quality of life both in and out of the hospital
