MRI Technologist Job in Pittsburgh, PA

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a 90-day travel assignment at Southwest - UPMC Presbyterian/Montefiore in Pittsburgh, PA. This is a nights position working 4x10 shifts with weekends included.

About the Role

You will independently perform MRI imaging procedures, applying clinical judgment and initiative to deliver diagnostic-quality imaging. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting MRI imaging procedures according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Maintaining MR safety standards throughout the department
• Reviewing patient history and assessing orders to ensure optimal data acquisition
• Properly identifying patients using two identifiers and following universal protocol
• Preparing, labeling, and administering contrast media as required
• Documenting patient history in electronic health records
• Ensuring proper coding, tracking, archiving, and charge entry for all exams
• Maintaining clinical competency across all exams and equipment

Requirements

You must have a minimum of 2 years of MRI experience. Credentials required: graduation from an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology or completion of an accredited CNMT, ARMRIT, or ARDMS program with MR registry.

Required certifications include ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS; BLS certification; and Pennsylvania-specific certifications (Act 31, Act 33, Act 34, Act 73). If working in NY or MD, you will need ARRT Certificate, ARMRIT, NMTC, or ARDMS plus BLS and applicable state license.

Compensation & Schedule

Weekly pay: $3,271. The assignment runs 90 days, beginning August 24, 2026. You will work 4 days per week on nights, with 10-hour shifts and weekends included.
