Telemetry RN Job in Gilbert, AZ

Mercy Gilbert Medical Center is seeking an RN for a Telemetry role caring for ED hold patients. You will work the night shift, 3 shifts per week at 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM), with 4 weekend shifts required per 4-week schedule. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 30, 2026.

Role Responsibilities

• Care for ED hold patients waiting for placement on a unit, primarily medical/surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac strips independently with no monitor tech support in the ED
• Titrate and decrease cardiac drips per physician orders and parameters, including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
• Assist ED staff with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration as a secondary support nurse, not as primary RN
• Float to med/surg/tele/overflow units and other ED locations as needed
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• No ventilator management required

Required Qualifications

• Strong cardiac telemetry background; preferably 2 years of experience
• Ability to read and interpret cardiac strips independently
• Current BLS and ACLS certification
• Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start (maximum 2 attempts)
• Must pass a SIM LAB assessment on day one of orientation

You will receive 2-shift orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at the primary campus before assuming full responsibilities.
