Emergency Department RN Job in Anniston, AL

RMC Anniston is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a night shift position working 3x12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement. You will work in a high-acuity, high-volume setting serving a combined adult and pediatric patient population across 32 rooms.

Role Overview

You will care for patients across the age spectrum, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:4. A 30-minute lunch break is required and cannot be skipped. This Level II Trauma center offers a comprehensive emergency setting where you will apply diverse clinical skills and manage complex cases.

Required Experience & Credentials

• Minimum one year of recent ER experience
• Alabama nursing license
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (all via AHA)
• NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Fit Test

Preferred Qualifications

• Travel nursing experience
• Level II Trauma experience
• CPI and TNCC certifications

Clinical Skills

You will perform blood product administration, central line care and management, IV starts, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration. Ortho-trauma and general ER procedures are part of daily work. In the pediatric setting, you will identify and report suspected abuse, manage near drowning cases, handle respiratory infections, and assess seizures.

Support & Environment

Interdisciplinary teams are available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretaries to support your work.

Assignment Details

This is a 56-week travel assignment beginning September 8, 2026. Weekly pay is $1,932.
