Job Details:

• Thursday 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Friday 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Saturday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Sunday 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
• Verify patient identification, obtain patient history, and ensure patient safety at all times
• Document pregnancy status on patients of childbearing age
• Demonstrate knowledge of MRI and cross-sectional human anatomy
• Operate MRI scanners and perform automatic injections of MRI contrast
• Proficient use of disc drives, gateways, PACS, and laser printers required
• Maintain active ARRT status by accruing continuing education credits as needed
• Interpret protocols and select appropriate scanning parameters
• Administer oral contrast to adult and pediatric patients according to established protocols
• Establish intravenous lines and administer IV contrast following safe and proper injection procedures
• Check appropriate lab values before contrast injection per protocol
• Maintain thorough understanding of PACS and transmit images to QC, EMR, EPIC, and PACS systems
• Verify and segment images at the QC station and complete, modify, or cancel orders in a timely manner
• Ensure all charge and demographic information is accurate on PACS images
• Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and produce quality diagnostic images
• Review patient charts and reports for correlation
• Precept new employees and students as needed
